The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro is tipped to launch at the end of 2024 with the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC as the next generation of flagship Android smartphones, the 13 from the same brand that may be on the market ahead of it in China included.

However, it is now also projected to have a mid-frame made of plastic as opposed to aluminum as in the current OnePlus 12 flagship (now available on Amazon), according to respected leaker Digital Chat Station.

In addition, the 5 Pro is now tipped to have a flat 1.5K version of BOE's latestX2 LTPOdisplay, whereas that of the 13 might be 2K. The same might be true of the Ace 5, thought to debut as aSnapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered version of its Pro sibling in order to offer an even more affordable alternative to the new top-end 13.

Accordingly, the vanilla 5 is also thought to become available outside China as the 13R for the same purpose. It is now also tipped to debut with a 50MP main rear camera, which, with its alleged1/1.56-inchfootprint, may or may not be based on one of Samsung's latest sensors for smartphones.

There might also be a 50MP telephoto option on the cards, although it might also be exclusive to the Pro variant. The Ace 5 series is also currently thought to be most like the white version of the Ace 3 Pro in terms of looks and to have the same fast 100W charging as the 13 for batteries of at least 6,000mAh in typical capacity.
