Motorola has quietly expanded the Moto G series again, about six weeks after the release of the Moto G Stylus 5G 2024. While theMoto G Stylus 5G 2024is exclusive to North America, the Moto G85 will be sold in multiple markets, including Europe and the UK. AsPhoneArenanotes, it appears that the Moto G85 is actually only available in the UK, where Motorola has priced it at £299.99. With that being said, the device should eventually be available for €349 in the Eurozone.

In other words, it seems that Motorola has priced the Moto G85 to rival the likes of the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, which Xiaomi released globally earlier this year. As expected, the Moto G85 has arrived with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, as well as Cobalt Blue, Olive Green and Urban Grey colour options. Fundamentally, the Moto G85 is the same device as the Moto S50 Neo that Motorola announced yesterday, albeit sold under a different name. As such, the Moto G85 contains a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, which is effectively an overclocked Snapdragon 695 5G that underpins last year's Moto G84 (curr. $229.99 on Amazon).

Additionally, the Moto G85 features a 6.67-inch pOLED display that outputs at 1080p with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 240 Hz touch sampling rate and 1,600 nits peak brightness. For reference, the handset measures 161.91 x 73.06 x 7.59 mm and weighs 171 g, or 173 g if you opt for its Cobalt Blue and Olive Green colour options.
