It is not long now until DJI fully unveils the Neo, its next drone after introducing the Mini 4K (curr. $299 on Amazon) over four months ago. For context, DJI has scheduled September 5 for the drone's full introduction. Nonetheless, retailers have been listing the drone left, right and centre, while a YouTuber has already unboxed the Neo ahead of its full release. Incidentally, it is also evident that DJI is preparing to announce the Osmo Action 5 Pro as an alternative to the forthcoming GoPro Hero 13 Black.

Despite being only a few days away from release, leakers are not done with the DJI Neo just yet. This time, Jasper Ellens has shared footage of the drone in flight for the first time. Embedded below, the footage highlights that the Neo only has a 1-axis gimbal. Added to that, DJI has integrated electronic stabilisation (EIS), which will be on hand to help keep 4K footage looking as smooth as possible.

Moreover, Ellens reports that the DJI Neo produces approximately 78 dB(A) of noise in flight when measured next to its propellers. Additionally, this noise is claimed to drop to 67 dB(A) if the drone is about 5 metres away. By contrast, the Avata, Avata 2 and HOVERAir X1 Pro are said to emit 88 dB(A), 82 dB(A) and 88 dB(A), respectively, if you are nearby. Consequently, the Neo may be one of the quietest drones around when it launches later this week, although its propellers operate at a comparatively high pitch compared to those included in theAvata 2. Based on recent leaks, DJI will release the Neo for a mere €199 in the Eurozone.
