I completed the first course in the Codecademy Full-Stack Engineer path, and tomorrow, Monday, I'll start review and assessments.
I had some struggles with this lesson, but what I learned was to practice coding to convert the layout patterns into memory. Codecademy is really good about practical exercises, but Responsive Design combined with Flexbox and CSS Grid was a big load to push through, so I need to practice the ideas to integrate them.
Following review and assessments, I'll have achieved my longtime goal of studying JavaScript. I saw a Codecademy post on Insta about whether coding HTML CSS was programming, and the reply I most related to was that it was a declarative rather than imperative. I've coded with SQL, Assembly, and even Postscript, and programming languages have many different flavors.
I'm looking forward to this new chapter, as well as improving HTML CSS, as that is the foundation that will be used for applying JavaScript, at least in front-end--Node and SQL may be different. I'm pretty excited about reaching this milestone, but review and assessments first!
